Sunday COVID-19 Numbers For Utah

SALT LAKE CITY-Sunday, the Utah Department of Health released the daily numbers for COVID-19 in the Beehive State.

There have been 7,238 positive tests for COVID-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 170 positive tests from Saturday’s totals and an increase of 15 net positive tests in the past 24 hours.

However, with 170,752 total tests now having been administered in Utah, an increase of 3,978 in the past 24 hours, this kept the overall positive test percentage at 4.238 percent for the second consecutive day.

In the past 24 hours, 4.27 percent of Utahns tested positive for COVID-19. This is slightly down from Saturday’s daily percentage of 4.35 percent testing positive for the virus.

There are now 586 hospitalizations from COVID-19 in the Beehive State, an increase of 8 from Saturday’s totals. There are now 80 deaths from COVID-19 in Utah, an increase of two from the previous day.

Incidentally, 4,075 Utahns who tested positive from COVID-19 have now recovered, or 56.3 percent.

Wasatch County currently has 202 cases of COVID-19, 10 hospitalizations and one death, which occurred April 10.
