Wasatch County Library Presents Leap Into Science

HEBER CITY, Utah-Wasatch County Library will participate in Leap Into Science, a nationwide program developed by The Franklin Institute. This integrates open-ended science activities with children’s books, designed for ages 3-10 and their families.

This year’s program occurs May 12 from 11:00-11:30 am. Wasatch County Library invites educators, families and children to participate in this virtual science and literacy workshop. “Light” and “shadow” are the topics of discussion during this lesson.

Participants will experience an interactive read-aloud, go on a shadow hunt and engage in science exploration that will make everyone feel like they are at the Franklin Institute Science Museum of Philadelphia.

Parents and caregivers will learn tips to promote critical thinking and exploration for kids age 3-8.

They will be using storybooks and simple materials that can be used in your house.
