Two Separate ATV Accidents In Kane County Leave One Dead, Another Injured

KANE COUNTY, Utah-Per a report Monday, two separate ATV accidents in Kane County left one rider dead and another injured.

Officials with the Kane County Sheriff’s Office received a call on Friday about a woman in her 40’s involved in an ATV accident near Coral Pink Sand Dunes.

Shortly following that, another call came in concerning an ATV accident with the same description, except this woman was receiving CPR.

Law enforcement and an ambulance from Kane County Hospital were sent to the accident location to find they were two separate ATV accidents, both concerning women in their 40’s near the Coral Pink Sand Dunes.

The first accident involved a 45-year-old woman from Washington City. The woman was riding east of an ATV trail and camping area called “The Dry Lake Bed” when she drove off a sand dune and rolled.

She was then transported to Dixie Regional Medical Center of St. George via medical helicopter with neck, back and leg injuries per a statement from the Kane County Sheriff’s Office.

The second crash killed 48-year-old Jenni Braunberger of Ogden, as authorities released her name Monday.

Braunberger was riding northwest of Lamb Springs and when her ATV went up a large sand dune, she was thrown from the vehicle.

Family and friends started CPR but her injuries proved fatal.
