Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Donates Cash and Commodities To Support COVID-19 Relief Efforts

SALT LAKE CITY-As the COVID-19 pandemic ensues, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is continuing to provide relief throughout the United States.

The following key relief agencies are receiving $5.5 million apiece in donations from the Salt Lake City-based faith:

-Convoy of Hope, Springfield, Ill.: This organization will use the Church’s donation to distribute food to those in need, primarily in the Midwest.

-Feeding America, Chicago: This nationwide network of food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters will use this money to assist in the country’s hardest-hit areas.

-Partnership With Native Americans, Addison, Texas: This organization will use the Church’s donation to purchase food, water and personal health products for reservations, primarily in the western United States.

-The Salvation Army, Alexandria, Va.: They will use the Church’s donation to provide food, personal protective equipment and hygiene items in locations throughout the United States.

-United Way, Alexandria, Va.: These funds will provide relief to many communities in the United States.

The Church’s presiding bishop, Frenchman Bishop Gerald Causse, stated “we want to help and know we can rely on these trusted partners, who are already doing so much good, to reach those who are in greatest need.”
