CARDIFF, Wales-During the COVID-19 pandemic, Welsh members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have served their neighbors in various ways.
Members of the Cardiff Stake needed only three weeks to amass 8,000 hygiene kits for 35 locations across South Wales.
Packets were distributed to local hospitals, elderly care homes, homeless shelters, women’s refuge centers and to Principality Stadium, Wales’ national stadium, as well as to Dragon’s Heart “field hospital,” which was recently created.
The kits consist of full-sized shower gel packs, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant and more.
Funding for this project came from donations made by members of the Church globally to Latter-Day Saint Charities, the charitable arm of the Church.
