SALT LAKE CITY-Tuesday afternoon, the latest COVID-19 statistics for the state of Utah were released.
There are 4,343 positive tests for COVID-19 in the Beehive State. This is +110 from Sunday-Monday and is a break even figure from the last 24 hours.
Only 2,244 tests were administered from Monday-Tuesday for COVID-19 out of 102,439 total tests having been administered.
This caused the positive test percentage to slightly increase from 4.22 percent to 4.24 percent. 4.9 percent of Utahns tested from Monday-Tuesday tested positive for COVID-19.
Furthermore, there were 21 hospitalizations in the past 24 hours, from 349 to 370.
There are also four additional deaths from COVID-19 in Utah, increasing to 45.
Wasatch County has two new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 142. There has been one more hospitalization, bringing the total number to 7.
Utah state epidemiologist Dr. Angela C. Dunn then spoke about the deaths. She said all four patients were Salt Lake County residents. Three deaths were over the age of 60 and one was under the age of 60. All of the patients who passed away in the past 24 hours had underlying health conditions.
