SALT LAKE CITY-Sunday morning, several vital statistics concerning COVID-19 in the Beehive State were released.
Presently, 3,069 positive tests for COVID-19 have occurred in the state of Utah. This is an increase of 138 positive tests from Saturday’s total.
Currently, 63,555 tests for COVID-19 have been administered in the Beehive State.
Out of 3,611 tests administered in the past 24 hours in Utah for COVID-19, 3.8 percent of those tests were positive.
The overall positive rate percentage in Utah has dipped down to 4.8 percent. Saturday’s total was just below 4.9 percent in the Beehive State.
There are now 259 resultant hospitalizations from COVID-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 8 from Saturday’s total.
Two more deaths occurred in Utah over the course of the past 24 hours from COVID-19. The Utah Department of Health reports that these deaths were a man and a woman, each over the age of 85 in Salt Lake County. Furthermore, they each had underlying medical conditions and both of them were living in a long-term care facility before hospitalization occurred.
Wasatch County currently has 111 cases of COVID-19 with 6 hospitalizations and one death which occurred April 10.
