SALT LAKE CITY-Saturday, the Utah Department of Health reported two more deaths from COVID-19 per the state’s latest statistics from this disease.
UDOH officials reported a Utah County woman over the age of 60 died as she was being hospitalized because of this disease.
She had underlying medical conditions.
The other death was a 60-year-old Salt Lake County man who also died from the virus. Officials don’t know whether he was being hospitalized or had underlying medical conditions.
There have been 2,931 Utahns who have tested positive for COVID-19. This is an increase of 126 positive tests from Friday. There have been 59,944 total tests administered. This means that 18.3 percent of Utahns have been tested. However, the positive test rate has decreased from 5.02 percent Friday to just below 4.9 percent Saturday.
There have also been 251 hospitalizations, an increase of seven from Friday and the two total deaths bring the Beehive State’s total to 25.
Wasatch County presently has 109 cases, six hospitalizations and one death.
