Saturday COVID-19 test results released for Utah

SALT LAKE CITY-Saturday afternoon, the COVID-19 test results for the Beehive State were released.

They confirm that 42,546 tests have occurred, including 2,206 positive tests.

The cases of COVID-19 in Utah have increased to 2,206. This is an increase of 104 new positive tests. There are now 18 deaths as well. As we reported earlier Saturday, this victim is a Wasatch County resident, a man in his 60’s who died at a Salt Lake City-area hospital.

The Utah Department of Health reports that in the past 24 hours, 1,784 tests were conducted for COVID-19 in the Beehive State.

190 hospitalizations from coronavirus have now occurred in Utah.

Salt Lake County has had 1,071 positive tests, accounting for 60 percent of all the COVID-19 cases in the Beehive State.

In good news, however, only 5.18 percent of Utahns tested have tested positive for COVID-19.
