SALT LAKE CITY-This past weekend during its semi-annual general conference, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints had a special rendition of the famed hymn “We Thank Thee O God For A Prophet.”
This number featured a virtual pre-recorded performance of this hymn by choirs comprised of Church members from Accra, Ghana, Mexico City, Mexico, Seoul, South Korea, Sao Paulo, Brazil, Frankfurt, Germany and Auckland, New Zealand.
The participating choirs sang in their native languages which were English, Spanish, Korean, Portuguese and German respectively.
Each choir was recorded in their respective country and they sang along with a prerecorded audio track by the Tabernacle Choir to match the song’s timing.
