Trump Addresses Media Tuesday

WASHINGTON-Tuesday, United States president Donald Trump addressed the media as the coronavirus task force series of press briefings from the White House ensued.

Trump was confident from the start of his remarks, saying “We will beat this virus.”

He reiterated that he was still praying for his friend, Boris Johnson, the United Kingdom prime minister who has fallen ill because of this disease.

Trump informed governors and emergency managers throughout the country that it is “critical” to share information in real-time concerning their needs for supplies.

Incidentally, during his press briefing earlier this afternoon, Utah Governor Gary Herbert said the Beehive State was in need of such things. Herbert did imply that “help is on the way.”

Trump did say that if a governor fails at his/her tasks of defending the state they govern, “we [the federal government] will protect you.”

Trump confirmed that presently, 8,675 ventilators are in stock and ready to move at a moment’s notice to anyone who needs them.

Trump stated that presently 1,870,000 tests for coronavirus have occurred throughout the country.

Trump shared Herbert’s sentiments from earlier Tuesday by lauding small businesses while applauding big banks for assisting these businesses in any way they could during these hard times.

Trump applauded their efforts by saying “everyone is rising to the occasion.”

Trump also unveiled the new hashtag: “America Works Together,” which he hopes Americans will use on social media to be complementary toward their fellow countrymen.

The Payback Protection Plan, also alluded to by Herbert earlier, was a focal point of Tuesday’s proceedings at the White House as well.

Trump also expressed his disdain for the Geneva, Switzerland-based World Health Organization, which, incidentally celebrated its 72nd anniversary Tuesday.

Trump said the plan is to withhold funding from the WHO because they have proven themselves untrustworthy and “China-centric,” appearing to favor the Chinese Communist Party above other nations or ideologies since this pandemic spread across the world.

When asked about hydroxychloroquine and its reported success in healing those afflicted by COVID-19, Trump said that he was not a doctor so he didn’t feel comfortable endorsing it.

However, he did urge Americans to get their physician’s approval to use it.

Trump also lauded the payroll tax cut, saying it “would be great for the country.”

Trump proclaimed that payroll tax cuts are “a great way to get the money in the hands of small businesses.”

When asked how he felt about Wisconsinites taking risks by going outside to vote during Wisconsin’s presidential primary election results and mail ballots, the president called them “corrupt.”

In expressing further confidence, Trump called his shot, in essence, proclaiming that he would win Wisconsin again this upcoming November.

Trump also spoke about Project Airbridge, which consists of five planes packed with personal protective equipment.

This fleet touched down in the U.S. this morning, he said and it consists of “a massive airlift operation for critical supplies.”

Vice President Mike Pence then spoke for several moments and confidently proclaimed that “hospital admissions continue to decline.”

Pence then joyfully spoke of how the White House is continuing to see “evidence of stabilization,” suggesting that proverbial “hot spots” for the virus are beginning to get back to their state prior to early March.

Pence exhorted Americans to continually follow social distancing regulations and confirmed “we thank the American people” and that “our future is in our hands.”

Pence thanked California governor Gavin Newsom for his state’s contributions in “donating” to the nation’s efforts as per a report from Anabel Munoz of ABC 7 Los Angeles Monday, California has sent ventilators it does not need to other states where they can be of use.

Pence concluded his comments by reminding Americans to adhere to instructions from their state and local authorities and lauded them for making a positive difference.

Remarks from White House Coronavirus Task Force coronavirus response coordinator Deborah Birx and National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director Anthony Fauci alluded to the fact that they are developing antibodies in hopes of creating a vaccine to vanquish the disease.

Birx exhorted Americans not to buy any antibodies advertised on the Internet as Birx wants to ensure that the task force administer to Americans in need of the vaccine at the appointed time.
