SALT LAKE CITY-Despite Utah Governor Gary Herbert’s modification of his March 27 directive which will allow Utahns to enter restaurants to order food, Salt Lake County still wants residents to order food remotely.
This announcement came from Salt Lake County Health Department Communications/PR manager Nicholas Rupp Wednesday evening.
Rupp alluded to Utah Code 26A which says local health departments may be more restrictive than the state of Utah. Salt Lake County believes its existing order finds the perfect balance between keeping the economy robust and preventing the spread of COVID-19 in the area.
