Latter-day Saint Charities Continues To Bless The World During COVID-19 Outbreak

SALT LAKE CITY-Friday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ charitable arm, Latter-Day Saint Charities, gave a report on how their efforts are blessing the world during COVID-19 crises worldwide.

Aid has been delivered to Cambodia, China, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Italy, Iran, Japan, Mongolia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, the United States and Vietnam.

Hygiene kits have been sent to a provisional clinic at Guatemala City. A Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meetinghouse in Chile has been made into a makeshift field hospital for the time being as well.

Humanitarian efforts created gift wallets on the Kangaroo Islands off the coast of Australia following fires in January.

At New South Wales, Australia, the Church also assisted with wildfire relief in that part of the country.

In Nepal, Ang “Anji” Jangmu Sherpa, has dedicated her life to helping babies breathe and mothers survive through the assistance of Latter-day Saint Charities.

Finally, as Elder Brigham Riwai-Couch of Christchurch, New Zealand returned from his mission with honor, he and his family exhibited appropriate social distancing etiquette at the airport.
