Utah Department of Health Implements Restrictions, Effective Wednesday

SALT LAKE CITY-Tuesday, Utah Governor Gary Herbert confirmed that the Utah Department of Health is restricting non-essential medical, dental and veterinary procedures to conserve protective equipment needed by doctors who are treating patients with COVID-19.

According to guidance from the federal centers for Medicare and Medicaid service, examples of elective procedures include colonoscopies, cataracts, endoscopies and other procedures that may be delayed without the endangering of patients.

This order is effective from March 25-April 25.
