Lagoon Park Announces Delay In Opening Weekend

FARMINGTON, Utah-In posting to its official Instagram page Monday, Lagoon Amusement Park confirmed it will not open this weekend as was previously scheduled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Farmington, Utah-based amusement park confirmed, via a statement,  this is the first time since World War II that Lagoon has not opened on schedule for any reason other than an inclement weather delay.

Presently, the statement continues, the understanding is that the Davis County Health Department directive is set to expire April 1 but could be extended.

Lagoon confirmed that in every other way the park is otherwise ready for opening.

Lagoon stated a number of upgrades and improvements, including a new ride, have also been implemented for this season.
