SAN FRANCISCO-Monday, Utah men’s basketball guard Rylan Jones was named as the Pac-12’s freshman of the week for his heroics in the Utes’ wins over Washington and Washington State.
Jones posted 18.5 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 2.5 steals in these wins and scored 26 of his 37 points in the second halves against the Huskies and Cougars.
The Holladay, Utah native is now tied for fifth in program history for 3-point field goals for freshmen (35) having tied Jordan Loveridge (2012-13) and Keith Van Horn (1993-94).
Jones and his Utes teammates return to action this weekend by visiting USC Thursday and UCLA Saturday.
