CHADRON, Neb.-Dason Youngblood stepped up with 16 points and 5 rebounds on 7-11 from the field as the Dixie State Trailblazers pounded Chadron State 88-68 Saturday at the Chicoine Events Center in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference men’s basketball action.
The Trailblazers (12-3, 7-2 in RMAC play) shot 50 percent from the field for the game and had five players in double figures.
Youngblood’s scoring load was shared by Andre Wilson (16 points, 5-8 from the field), Jacob Nicolds (16 points, 7 rebounds, 3 of 4 shooting), Jack Pagenkopf (13 points, 4-8 shooting) and Hunter Schofield (11 points).
Colby Jackson had a game-high 21 points in the loss for the Eagles and Brian Rodriguez-Flores added 14 points for Chadron State, who fell to 3-12 and 2-7 in RMAC play.
Dixie State returns to the hardwood Friday and Saturday against Colorado Christian and Regis respectively at the Burns Arena.
