The Utah Highway Patrol says nearly three-dozen drivers were arrested for DUI on New Year’s Eve and the first few hours of New Year’s Day. Most of the 33 arrests were in Salt County, where 18 people were charged. The UHP count is three times higher than the number of arrests reported last New Year’s Eve, and does not include any arrests made by local police.
