Dixie State Men’s Basketball Drops First Game of Season At Western Oregon Friday

MONMOUTH, Ore.-Jaylyn Richardson posted 27 points and 9 rebounds on 11-17 from the field as the Western Oregon Wolves upset the No. 5/No. 6 Dixie State Trailblazers 91-75 Friday at the WOU New PE Building in non-conference men’s basketball action.

Dalven Brushier added 22 points and 5 rebounds for the 6-2 Wolves who shot 53.6 percent from the field in the second half while posting 45 points in the latter 20 minutes.

Jack Pagenkopf had 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Dason Youngblood also added 11 points in the loss for the Trailblazers, who fell to 10-1 on the season.

Dixie State is next in action December 30 as they host the Yellowstone Christian Centurions in an exhibition game at Burns Arena for a 7:30 pm tip-off.
