SPANISH FORK, Utah-Thursday, the Wasatch Wasps cobbled together several magnificent individual perormances to clobber Maple Mountain 52-21 in Region 8 wrestling action.
Deklan Kelly prevailed at 126 pounds and River Wardle earned a 13-5 win over Tanner Cox of Maple Mountain at 132 pounds.
At 138 pounds, Sammy Heywood earned the pin to prevail.
Alexander Hendrix prevailed at 152 pounds and Trevor Cluff earned a win at 160 pounds for the Wasps.
At 182 pounds, Brock Lloyd earned a decisive 8-2 win for the Wasps and at 195 pounds, Alexander Budd earned a 10-6 win.
Despite Steve Griffin falling at 285 pounds, the Wasps had clinched the victory at the time of his match, improvong to 4-0 on the season in duels.
The competition concluded with Parker Hayes earning the win at 106 pounds for the 52-21 victory over the Golden Eagles.
The Wasps are back in action Friday and Saturday at the Intermountain Duels hosted by the Wasatch County Events center at the Wasatch County Fairgrounds in Heber City.
