WELLS, Nev. (AP)-The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating the death of a pedestrian who was hit by a car in the dark on Interstate 80 in northeast Nevada near Wells, Nev.
The patrol identified the victim of Monday night’s accident as 24-year-old Prajedix Flores of West Wendover.
The driver of the Toyota Prius that hit him was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators say Flores appears to have been standing in a a westbound travel lane about 2 miles west of Wells when he was struck at about 8 p.m.
He was flown to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
