ST. GEORGE, Utah-Monday, Dixie State junior guard Dason Youngblood was named as the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference’s offensive player of the week.
The 6-2 195-pound Bingham High School/Skagit Valley CC (Wash.) product averaged 17.5 points on 68.2 percent shooting from the field, 2 rebounds and 3 assists per game in the Trailblazers’ sweep of Lake Superior State and Alaska-Fairbanks at the Westminster College Classic at Salt Lake City this past Friday.
The 5-0 Trailblazers commence their RMAC season Saturday night against in-state rival Westminster at Burns Arena for a 7:30 pm tip-off.
