ST. GEORGE, Utah-Josh Newbold posted 22 points on 10-17 from the field as the Dixie State Trailblazers improved to 3-0 on the season with a 75-71 win over Saint Martin’s Saturday at Burns Arena in non-conference men’s college basketball action.
Hunter Schofield’s 18 points and 9 rebounds on 7-14 shooting as the Trailblazers also outscored the Saints off the bench, 33-18 en route to the victory.
Demonte Malloy posted 26 points in the loss for the Saints as they fell to 0-3.
Dixie State returns to action Friday at Westminster College against Lake Superior State and faces Alaska-Fairbanks Saturday, also at Westminster.
