SPANISH FORK, Utah-Zak Thacker had touchdown runs of 20 and 1 yards as the Wasatch Wasps edged the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles 24-21 Friday in Region 8 football action. Thacker amassed 200 all-purpose yards on the evening, earning Point S Tires offensive player of the game awards from Ty & Ty during the radio broadcast. Additionally, Damien Skiby had a key interception in the second half, earning Gearhead Guys defensive player of the game honors. Parker Quinton added a 1-yard touchdown run for the Wasps, while Ammon Tuttle drilled a 30-yard field goal. Tyler Nelson caught an 86-yard touchdown pass and added an 11-yard touchdown run in defeat for the Golden Eagles. The Wasps improved to 4-2 on the season and 2-0 in Region 8 play with the win.
