Ogden Raptors Best Idaho Falls In First Game of Pioneer League Championship Series

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho-Ismael Alcantara had a key RBI double in the top of the 4th Inning to help the Ogden Raptors get past Idaho Falls 5-3 Friday in Game 1 of the Pioneer League finals at Melaleuca Field.

Jimmy Titus and Jon Littell added ground-out RBI for the Raptors with Andy Pages and Sauryn Lao also scoring on fielding errors from the Chukars.

Corey Merrill earned the win on the mound for the Raptors, amassing seven strikeouts in three innings of work.

The scene shifts to Ogden Saturday at Lindquist Field as the Raptors will try to clinch the Pioneer League title. If necessary, a Game 3 will be Sunday at Lindquist Field.
