EL PASO, Texas-Justin Bour and Jose Rojas homered in a productive 9th Inning for the Salt Lake Bees, with Brennon Lund adding another RBI on a sacrifice fly in the 9th as the Bees bested the El Paso Chihuahuas 6-3 Thursday at Southwest University Park. Kaleb Cowart added an RBI single for the 58-77 Bees, while Jake Jewell improved to 4-4 on the season for Salt Lake on the mound. Boog Powell and Michael Gettys had RBI in the loss for the 79-57 Chihuahuas.
Pioneer League
OGDEN, Utah-Brenton Doyle had an RBI single and an RBI double as the Grand Junction Rockies doubled up the Ogden Raptors 4-2 Thursday at Lindquist Field in Pioneer League baseball action. Colin Simpson also had an RBI single for 33-33 Grand Junction. Blair Calvo earned his first win on the mound on the season for the Rockies. Ezequiel Tovar had an RBI single and Marco Hernandez added RBI on a sacrifice fly and a single for the 48-19 Raptors, losers of three straight.
OREM, Utah-Jose Sibrian had key RBI on a double and a single as the Rocky Mountain Vibes downed Orem 10-7 Thursday in Pioneer League baseball action at UCCU Ballpark. Abner Uribe earned the win on the mound for the Vibes, as they improved to 30-37 on the season while Uribe is now 1-0. Justin Kunz and William Holmes homered in the loss for the Owlz, dropping them to 26-41.
