RENO, Nev.-Jo Adell came up with a pair of huge RBI singles and the Salt Lake Bees bested the Reno Aces 5-3 Thursday at Greater Nevada Field in Pacific Coast League baseball action. Kaleb Cowart also had 2 RBI for the Bees in the win, as they improved to 55-73. Nick Tropeano earned the win on the mound for the Bees, as he is now 4-6 on the season. Alberto Rosario homered in the loss for the Aces, who fell to 59-70.
Pioneer League
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.-Sauryn Lao homered twice and the Ogden Raptors pounded the Grand Junction Rockies 14-2 at Suplizio Field in Pioneer League baseball action Thursday. Jon Littell and Marco Hernandez added 2 RBI apiece for the 46-14 Raptors. Nelfri Contreras earned the win on the mound for Ogden, as he is now 1-1. Christian Koss and Brenton Doyle had RBI in the loss for the Rockies, who fell to 27-33.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.-Anthony Mulrine, Drevian Williams-Nelson and D’Shawn Knowles all had RBI as the Orem Owlz waxed the Rocky Mountain Vibes 5-2 Thursday in Pioneer League baseball action. Darrien Williams earned the win on the mound for the Owlz, as he improved to 2-2 on the season. Orem now stands at 25-36. Bryan Torres and Jess Williams had RBI in the loss for the Vibes, who fell to 26-34.
