SALT LAKE CITY-Justin Bour, Jose Rojas and Taylor Ward each homered as the Salt Lake Bees edged El Paso 5-4 Saturday at Smith’s Ballpark in Pacific Coast League baseball action. Nick Tropeano earned the win on the mound for the Bees, as he improved to 3-6 on the season while the Bees improved to 53-71.
Austin Allen and Aderlin Rodriguez homered in defeat for the 72-52 Chihuahuas.
Pioneer League
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.-Joe Gray homered in the bottom of the 9th Inning, lifting the Rocky Mountain Vibes to a 7-6 win over the Ogden Raptors Saturday at UCHealth Ballpark Saturday in Pioneer League baseball action. Michael Wilson also homered for the Vibes, as they improved to 25-31 on the season. Dylan Prohoroff improved to 1-1 on the season for the Vibes, earning the win on the mound. Jorbit Vivas homered and had an RBI sacrifice fly for the Raptors, who fell to 42-14. Cesar Mendoza and Zac Ching also had RBI in the loss for Ogden.
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.-Jack Yalowitz and Brenton Doyle each homered and the Grand Junction Rockies routed the Orem Owlz 11-2 Saturday at Suplizio Field in Pioneer League baseball action. Jared Horn took the win on the mound for the Rockies, as he is now 2-0 on the season while Grand Junction improved to 27-28. Jeremiah Jackson hit his 21st home run of the season in the loss for the 21-35 Owlz.
