SALT LAKE CITY-Kyle Garlick, Edwin Rios, Drew Jackson and DJ Peters homered as the Oklahoma City Dodgers routed the Salt Lake Bees 9-3 Tuesday at Smith’s Ballpark in Pacific Coast League baseball action.
The Bees had an early 2-0 lead after three full innings as Justin Bour and Jared Walsh each homered on solo shots before the Dodgers scored seven unanswered runs.
Brock Stewart improved to 5-7 on the season for the Dodgers, who improved to 50-57 with the win. The loss dropped the Bees to 48-60.
Pioneer League
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.-Sam McWilliams had the game-winning RBI single in the top of the 9th Inning as the Ogden Raptors edged Grand Junction 4-3 at Suplizio Field Tuesday in Pioneer League baseball action. Sauryn Lao also had an RBI single in the 6th Inning to pace the 34-8 Raptors. Reza Aleaziz earned the win on the mound for Ogden, as he improved to 3-0 on the season. Brenton Doyle and Walking Cabrera each had RBI singles in the loss for the 22-20 Rockies.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.-Jess Williams had the game-winning RBI single on a bunt in the bottom of the 9th Inning as the Rocky Mountain Vibes won the first game of a day-night doubleheader with a 7-6 win over the Orem Owlz in Pioneer League baseball action Tuesday at UC Health Park. Cristian Sierra took the win on the mound for the Vibes, as he improved to 3-1. Will Wilson homered in the loss for the Owlz as they fell to 13-28.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.-Nick Kahle’s 3rd Inning grand slam gave the Rocky Mountain Vibes a lead they would not relinquish as they bested the Orem Owlz 6-4 at UC Health Park Tuesday in Pioneer League baseball action to complete the doubleheader sweep. Luis Avila added an insurance RBI single in the 6th Inning for the 19-23 Vibes. Brady Schanuel improved to 4-1 on the season as he got the win on the mound for Rocky Mountain. Johan Sala, David Clawson, Jeremiah Jackson and Jeans Flores all had RBI in the loss for the 13-29 Owlz.
