SALT LAKE CITY-Dustin Fowler hit his 18th home run of the season, leading the Las Vegas Aviators to an 8-5 win over the Salt Lake Bees Saturday in Pacific Coast League baseball action at Smith’s Ballpark. Ben Bracewell earned the win on the mound for Las Vegas, getting his first victory in 2019 against three losses. Jarrett Parker homered in the loss for the Bees.
Pioneer League
OREM, Utah-Christian Koss homered and had additional RBI on a triple and single respectively as the Grand Junction Rockies routed the Orem Owlz 13-4 in Pioneer League baseball action Saturday at UCCU Ballpark. Ever Moya earned the win on the mound for the Rockies, who improved to 1-1. Grand Junction is now 19-15 on the season. David Clawson and Jeans Flores homered in the loss for the Owlz as they fell to 12-22.
OGDEN, Utah-Brandon Lewis’ bottom of the 3rd Inning grand slam got the Ogden Raptors off to a strong start en route to their 12th straight win as they routed the Rocky Mountain Vibes 8-3 at Lindquist Field Saturday in Pioneer League baseball action. Sam McWilliams, Sauryn Lao and Joe Vranesh added RBI in the win for the Raptors, who improved to 27-6 on the season. Yeison Cespedes took the win on the mound for Ogden, as he improved to 2-1. Edwin Sano homered and doubled in defeat for the Vibes, dropping them to 13-20.
