Pacific Coast League

SALT LAKE CITY-Chris Shaw homered and doubled and the Sacramento River Cats withstood a furious rally from the Salt Lake Bees to hold on for a 12-11 win at Smith’s Ballpark Monday in Pacific Coast League action.

Shaw’s home run gave the 49-45 River Cats a 12-3 lead in the top of the 5th Inning.

Trailing 12-7 headed into the bottom of the 9th, the Bees scored on a Taylor Ward RBI single, on Jared Walsh getting hit by a pitch and on an RBI forced out from Kaleb Cowart.

Regrettably for the Bees, during the Cowart sequence, Sacramento recorded the third out of the evening and the thrilling victory. The Bees dropped to 40-54 in the loss.

The teams combined for 35 hits in the thrilling shoutout.

Pioneer League

MISSOULA, Mont.-Jimmy Titus homered and doubled while Andy Pages homered and singled as the Ogden Raptors downed the Missoula Osprey 9-3 Monday at Ogren Park Allegiance Field.

Sam McWilliams also homered for the Raptors with Ryan Ward and Justin Yurchak also adding RBI for 23-6 Ogden. The Osprey scored all their runs on errors by the Raptors, as they fell to 15-12 on the season.

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho-Clay Dungan scored the winning run on a bases-loaded walk as the Idaho Falls came back from a 5-1 deficit to prevail 6-5 over the Orem Owlz Monday at Melaleuca Field in Pioneer League baseball action. Dungan also had an RBI double and single in victory for the Chukars, as they improved to 15-12. David Clawson homered in the loss for the Owlz, as they fell to 10-19.
