Pacific Coast League

TACOMA, Wash.-Chris Mariscal hit the go-ahead home run in the bottom of the 7th Inning and Jayson Brugman’s two-run shot in the bottom of the 8th Inning put the game away as the Tacoma Rainiers outgunned the Salt Lake Bees 13-10 Wednesday in Pacific Coast League action at Cheney Field. Tim Lopes homered and singled in a complementary performance for the Rainiers, who improved to 41-45 with the win. The Bees briefly took control with 10 comined runs in the 5th and 6th Innings, but could not hold on to their brief 10-7 6th Inning lead as they fell to 38-47.

Pioneer League

OREM, Utah-Tre Todd posted 4 RBI and the Ogden Raptors routed the Orem Owlz 7-2 Wednesday in the first game of a Pioneer League baseball doubleheader at UCCU Park.

Andy Pages, Andrew Shaps and Jimmy Titus also added RBI for the Raptors in the win. Caleb Scires had a 2-run home run in defeat for the Owlz.

In the second game, Ogden completed the day-night sweep with a 3-1 win over the Owlz, punctuated by Pages’ sixth home run of the season. Jon Littell and Joe Vranesh also had RBI for the Raptors, as they improved to 13-5. Scires doubled in the loss for the Owlz, as they fell to 6-12.
