OREM, Utah-Thursday, Utah Valley men’s basketball head coach Mark Madsen announced the addition of UNLV transfer, guard Trey Woodbury, into his program.
The 6-4 guard will be a sophomore and averaged 1.4 points and 0.7 rebounds in spot duty for the Rebels during his freshman season.
The former Clark High School (Las Vegas) star scored five or more points in four games last season for UNLV.
Woodbury averaged 14.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.4 assists his final season of high school play, as he led the Chargers to the Nevada Class 4-A state title game.
He was a Nevada first-team all-state honoree and selected to the All-Southwest League first team.
Woodbury was also a nominee for Nevada’s Gatorade Player of the Year and played AAU basketball for Vegas Elite.
Woodbury will have three seasons of eligibility remaining for the Wolverines.
