KAYSVILLE, Utah-Saturday, the Wasatch boys and girls track and field squads competed at the Davis Invitational, against some of the top schools in Utah. This gave head coach Brad Foster’s squad sufficient preparation for the upcoming Region 8 meet and state track championships at BYU in mid-May.
In the boys’ 100-meter dash, Connely Hill placed 24th (11.52 seconds) tying with Highland’s Jonah Gaye, Jacob McGuire of Bear River and Devin Gwynn of Davis.
Hill also placed 36th in the boys’ 300-meter hurdles (45.16 seconds).
Hill then placed 28th in the boys’ 200-meter dash (23.81 seconds).
In the girls’open javelin, Ellie Tuddenham placed 13th (86-11).
In the seeded section of the girls’ 100-meter hurdles, Annie Hill placed fifth (15.76 seconds) asserting herself as one of Class 5-A’s top competitors in this event.
Also excelling for the Wasatch girls was Quincy Olney in the seeded girls’ javelin. Olney placed eighth (93-05) in this event.
