INVEST NEST 2019 awarded Wasatch High Student Adam Posacki $10,000 after last night’s competition in the high school auditorium. 40 students participated in the competition, which included local business leaders mentoring the students to help them prepare for the final event. The top 10 competed in INVEST NEST and were evaluated on financial stability, marketing, logistics and longevity of their business idea. Students presented businesses that included selling local honey, chalk art, consignment exercise clothing, growing coral for resell and one student present an idea to refurbish vintage houseboats for a dry land rental business at Lake Powell. Posacki is the owner of Bergspar, a mountain clothing brand that is available online and sold at Fernweh Lifestyles in Midway. Prize money was donated by multiple business supporters including Peak Capital, The Ritchie Group, Davies and Allen and Labrum Ford & Chevy, The Local Book, Probst Electric, Dorius Dental Design, Business Sales Group M&A Professionals, Davis Concrete, Masonry and Landscaping.
