DENVER-Monday, Utah Valley pitcher Paxton Schultz was named as the WAC pitcher of the week for his contributions for the Wolverines.
Schultz, a junior right-hander out of Orem High School, pitched eight shutout innings Saturday in Utah Valley’s 4-2 win over Seattle U.
Schultz amassed seven strikeouts and pitched a six-hitter against the Redhawks.
Schultz currently has a 3.51 ERA having netted 40 strikeouts through 41 innings pitched.
Schultz will again take the mound for the 5-18 Wolverines Wednesday at UCCU Ballpark against the Pac-12’s Oregon Ducks.
