ST. GEORGE, Utah-Tuesday, Dixie State pitcher Jayden Murray was named as the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference pitcher of the week by the league office.
Murray struck out a career-high eight batters and pitched five innings of one-hit baseball as the Trailblazers blanked the Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes 11-0 at San Bernardino, Calif. Friday.
Murray only allowed three net base runners and required only 72 pitches to make it through his five-inning masterpiece.
Murray is a 6-1 190-pound senior out of Vernal’s Uintah High School and Arizona Western Junior College of Yuma, Ariz.
