HEBER CITY, Utah-Monday, the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office named Jared Rigby as the new sheriff of Wasatch County at the Wasatch County Daughters of Utah Pioneers museum in downtown Heber City at a swearing-in ceremony.

The proceedings were completed by Judge Thomas Low who swore Rigby in with this new position.

On their official Facebook page, the Heber City Police Department confirmed they look forward to working side by side with Rigby in hopes of protecting Heber Valley.

The Wasatch County Honor Guard was also on hand to present the colors and the national anthem was performed by Jefferson Murdock and Grant Rigby.

Sheriff Todd Bonner and Sheriff Mike Spanos were also in attendance for this momentous occasion.
