WASATCH COUNTY, Utah-Per a report from Brian Mullahy of KUTV 2 News in Salt Lake City, Wasatch County Search and Rescue personnel treated three snowmobilers who fell through the ice while they were on the top of the ice at Strawberry Reservoir.
The incident occurred around 8:30 am Saturday morning which is when search and rescue crews arrived on the scene.
The rescue operation took roughly three hours.
Per comments from search and rescue, the three individuals were on two snowmobiles.
A man was driving one and a husband and wife were on the other one.
Search and rescue crews confirmed the accident happened on a spot on the reservoir that had little ice coverage.
While the snowmobilers were all right, the same cannot be said for the snowmobiles, per a statement from search and rescue.
Wasatch County search and rescue reminds the Heber Valley community that ice at Strawberry Reservoir is not uniform and some areas remain dangerous.
