Weber State’s Opeta, Toia Earn FCS STATS All-American Honors

OGDEN, Utah-Tuesday, Weber State football achieved more All-American honors as the Wildcats had two more players named to the FCS STATS All-American team.

Those so honored were senior offensive tackle Iosua Opeta and linebacker LeGrand Toia.

This is the third All-American team for Opeta, making him a consensus All-American.

The native of Stansbury Park, Utah started all 13 games this season on the offensive line for the Wildcats and he played in 50 games at Weber State over the course of three seasons.

Opeta has also been named to The Associated Press All-America second team and the Walter Camp Foundation first team.

Toia earned All-American honors for the second consecutive season and was named to the FCS STATS third team.

During his career at Ogden, Toia posted 258 tackles, including 31.5 tackles for a loss and 13.5 career sacks.
