Per a tweet from Utah Wildfire Info, Mirror Lake Highway reopened at 10:00 a.m. Smoke will still be visible from Bald Mountain. Large helicopters were also filling buckets of water from Mirror Lake to drop water. Authorities admonish everyone to drive carefully in the area.

Thankfully, as of this time, there is no evidence there are threats to Wasatch County and there are torrential rainshowers expected to come into Utah statewide by mid-week, based on weather reports from the National Weather Service bureau offices of Las Vegas, Phoenix, Salt Lake City and Flagstaff, Ariz.

Per information from KSL TV Channel 5 in Salt Lake City, the Murdock Fire, which is currently in the Mirror Lake Complex east of Kamas made a “run to the north,” causing the closure of S.R. 150 Sunday morning.

The official Twitter account of Summit County reports both Summit and Duchesne County authorities are alerting campers in the Mirror Lake Highway area of road closures. More information is available on the Facebook pages of the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office as well as that of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest.

UDOT reports the Mirror Lake Highway is closed from mile post 22 to mile post 38 because of the Murdock Fire. You can check udottraffic.utah.gov for more updates.
