Weber State Football Hosts Northern Colorado For Throwback Night Saturday

OGDEN, Utah-Saturday, Weber State football commences its Big Sky Conference season by hosting Northern Colorado on throwback night.

The Wildcats will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1968 Weber State squad that won the Big Sky title by wearing throwback jerseys and the “flying W” on their helmets.

The Wildcats have traditionally dominated Northern Colorado since the series commenced in 2006. They lead the Bears 8-1 all-time, including 4-1 at Stewart Stadium.

Weber State has magnificently defended its home turf of late as they have won 13 of their last 15 home games.

Despite both the Wildcats and Bears being in the Big Sky Conference, this is their first match-up since 2015. In that game, Weber State routed Northern Colorado, 38-17 at Greeley, Colo.
