BYU Football Faces McNeese State Saturday, Named National Team of the Week

PROVO, Utah-Monday, The Football Writers Association of America Named Brigham Young University football the Reveal Suits National Team of the Week while the NCAA also acknowledged the Cougars as their team of the week.

Dating back to the 2002 season, this is the third time the Cougars earned the FWAA National Team of the Week honor.

This sets the stage for the Cougars’ home game Saturday against FCS McNeese State of the Southland Conference.

The Cowboys come into LaVell Edwards Stadium as the #9/#10 team in the FCS’ latest polls, released Monday.

McNeese State comes into Provo with a 3-0 record, having beaten Northern Colorado, Houston Baptist and Nicholls State on the season.

The Cowboys have posted 13 consecutive winning season and sport an all-time record of 498-286-23. They are celebrating their 75th year of football this season.

McNeese State signal-caller James Tabary comes in having completed 73 percent of his passes on the season for 6 touchdowns and only one interception.

Tailback Justin Pratt has 168 rushing yards and a score for McNeese State on the season while the Cowboys’ current leading receiver is Cyron Sutton who has 11 grabs for 153 yards and two scores thus far in 2018.
