LOUISVILLE, Ky.-Thursday, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association released its 2017-18 Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar Athletes list, which featured 14 Utah Valley University softball student-athletes.
These players include sophomore Basia Query of Henderson, Nev., and departed senior Lauren Frailey-Spendlove, a former Wolverines pitcher from Tooele, Utah, as repeat members of the squad.
First-time honoree seniors include infielder Kaylee Bott of Spanish Fork, Utah, outfielder Skylar Cook of South Jordan, Utah, outfielder Brianna Moeller of Phoenix, Ariz., outfielder Eryn Sustayta of West Covina, Calif. and utility player Alex Valencia of Syracuse, Utah.
Current underclass first-time honorees for the Wolverines are sophomore utility player Peyton Angulo of Upland, Calif., junior infielder Haylee Eskelson of Salt Lake City, Utah and sophomore catcher Kierstyn Foley of Huntington Beach, Calif.
Departed Wolverines who are first-time honorees include Kirsten Anderson of St. George, Utah, Kiara Kennedy of Phoenix, Ariz., Kristy Snyder of Springville, Utah and Lexi Sorensen of Valencia, Calif.
