PRICE, Utah-Monday, a pair of USU-Eastern athletes received Scenic West Athletic Conference Player of the Week awards as announced by the league office.
USU-Eastern sophomore volleyball player Sarah Mafi received the honor for the second time in three weeks, posting 55 kills, 71 digs and 59 points.
Nationally, Mafi, a Spanish Fork product out of Maple Mountain High School, ranked sixth in kills (177), ninth in kills per set (3.85) and seventh in points (204.5).
Also, Eagles women’s soccer player McKenna Wiscombe received the weekly SWAC award.
The sophomore out of Orem’s Mountain View High School scored three goals in a weekend series against Southern Nevada.
She is a 2-year starter and one of four captains this season for the Eagles.
