A motorcycle rider is in extremely critical condition following a crash in Provo Canyon. The Utah Highway Patrol says the rider lost control of the motorcycle last night and crashed into a pair of trucks parked on the side of the road. The rider was thrown from the bike and pinned under one of the trucks. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. UHP says about 730pm. the motorcyclist was heading south on state Route 189 and lost control of the motorcycle near Deer Creek Reservoir. The rider crashed into two trucks parked on the right side of the road and was thrown from the motorcycle, the agency said in a tweet. The motorcyclist was then pinned under one of the trucks. A group on scene of the crash helped lift the truck off of the motorcyclist and troopers performed CPR.The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash but suffered extremely critical injuries and was flown by medical helicopter to a hospital.
