CASTLE ROCK, Colo.-The Castle View (Colo.) Sabercats scored on the final play of the game to edge Wasatch 36-35 Friday in non-region football action.
Brock Cloward was magnificent in defeat for the Wasps, tossing five touchdown passes against one interception with Kaden Smith and Brydger Purdy each hauling in two of his scoring strikes.
The Wasps suffered the loss of starting kicker Matthias Dunn who was roughed on an extra point attempt, but reserve Ammon Tuttle filled in admirably in his stead.
The Wasps return home Friday for a Homecoming tilt against fellow Class 5-A foe Cottonwood with a 3-1 start to the season.
Don’t miss Crossing the T’s Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. on the Peak as Tyler Moss and Tyler Baird have Wasatch High football coach Steve Coburn for their guest.
