DUCHESNE COUNTY, Utah-Thursday, reports surfaced that the Dollar Ridge Fire reached 60 percent containment Wednesday, per a report from Utah Wildfire.

Fire crews lifted some pre-evacuation area restrictions, per an order from the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office, Utah Wildfire reported.

Fire crews had another successful day of containment on Wednesday.
The expectation for Thursday is for firefighters to primarily concentrate their efforts on the southwest section of the fire where the majority of un-contained line can be found.
New line will be formed by removing excessive vegetation and using natural features and roads to assist in the process.
Fire managers are also preparing to commence a burnout on the southwestern corner of the fire, weather-permitting.
It’s expected this operation will last for approximately 3-4 days.
