HEBER CITY, Utah-Wednesday election results in Wasatch County saw candidates in the lead who appear poised to secure their victories in November elections.
Statistics show 14,945 Wasatch County residents voted Wednesday and of those, 8,056 were Republicans. 1,732 others were Democrats, while 31.66 percent of voters came out to the polls.
Mitt Romney was the decisive victor in the U.S. Senate race, netting 3,047 votes with competitor Mike Kennedy pulling in 1,104 votes.
In the U.S. House District 3 representative race, John Curtis posted 3,020 votes to Chris Herrod’s 907 votes.
In the U.S. Rep State Senate District 26 race, Jack Rubin edged Ronald Winterton 1,446-1,420.
The representative council at large for seat A was won by Marilyn Crittenden, netting 2,094 votes to the 1,842 votes won by Alan Wayne McDonald.
Jeff Wade of Heber City won the representative council east seat “F” with 484 votes, easily besting Kimo Paulsen, who posted 303 votes.
The representative attorney winner was Scott H. Sweat, who amassed 1,382 votes with Tyler J. Berg netting 1,100 votes.
Park City-based Eileen Gallagher won the democratic state senate seat for District 26, edging Pat Vaughn with 283 votes to 273 votes for Vaughn.
