AI Data Center Not Popular In New Utah Poll

(Brigham City, UT) — Big data centers and the rapid growth of AI are not being warmly received in Utah. A new poll by the Deseret News and the Hinckley Institute of Politics shows most Utah voters are against the proposed data center in Box Elder County. The poll finds that 53-percent are opposed to the Stratos Project that’s backed by Canadian billionaire Kevin O’Leary. Only 30-percent of Utah voters say they support the 40-thousand acre development.
